Painting With Pat was featured on Channel 5, Talk of the Town, Sept. 10, 2008!
Tuwanda interviewed Pat about the unique way Pat teaches wildlife conservation through exciting art classes. Pat, "the kids actually see, touch and get really acquainted with the animal on a personal level. Then they create the animal in an art medium, which takes the animal close to their heart. Art is a very personal form of expression. These kids will always remember their experience!!"
Tuwanda, " Art with a Wildlife Twist", I like that!" Just how does the art class link with wildlife conservation?
Pat, 'Once the kids see the animal, touch the animal, hear the animal whistle, sing, hiss, or roar, learning comes to life!" They understand why it has feathers as they draw feathers, or why it has scales, according to its habitat and how they take a feed."
The animal's welfare becomes personal to the child and they naturally want to protect it.
